The Ortopedicum Hospital is equipped with advanced technological facilities. Knee replacement procedures can be performed using Aesculap’s Orthopilot® computer-assisted navigation system, which allows the surgeon to align the implant accurately in relation to the mechanical axis of the lower limb and choose optimum implant sizes to match the individual anatomy of each patient. This, in turn, ensures even greater precision during surgery as well as improved functioning and longer durability of endoprostheses.
OUR ORTHOPEDIC HOSPITAL IN CRACOW
Our comprehensive range of implants allows our surgeons to perform practically any hip and knee alloplasty. Short stem implants for the hip allow bone-saving procedures, especially suited for younger patients with good bone quality. A broad selection of standard and revision implants, both cemented and uncemented, and hypoallergenic, offer optimum solutions for every patient.
In Ortopedicum, each patient has his or her own treating doctor who is present during the initial consultations, performs surgery and then assists the patient in the rehabilitation process.
The Ortopedicum Hospital in Cracow is a modern orthopaedic and rehabilitation centre offering all-inclusive orthopedic and trauma care and support to patients with musculoskeletal disorders.
Keeping in mind the best interest of our patients and their fast return to full mobility we have developed individual, longterm rehab programmes tailored to the needs of patients.
We place great emphasis on direct bed rehabilitation and later out-patient rehabilitation.
Currently, we carry out approximately 1000 surgeries per annum, and 75% of all the operations have been performed on private patients.
Ortopedicum was opened in Kraków in February 2009. Until 2015 it recorded more than successful operations in orthopaedics and trauma surgery, of which 1300 were hip and knee replacements (alloplasty) and revision replacements (realloplasty).
